Its name comes from the shape of the coffee maker which is "V" conical with a 60 ° angle. The inventor is Melitta Bentz, a German housewife from Dresden who experimented with a new way of making coffee. As a filter instead of the classic linen filters of the time, he tried to use a sheet of paper taken from a notebook of his son's school. The most important feature is its 60 ° angle which allows greater percolation of the water thanks to which a finer grinding can be applied compared to other extraction methods such as Chemex.
