BRAZIL FAZENDA SITIO DA TORRE

We are excited to include this coffee in the “Special Selection,” the result of our journey to Brazil. We personally met Álvaro and his son, visited their beautiful plantation, and followed their processing methods firsthand.

Sítio da Torre, located in the Mantiqueira de Minas region (DO), is internationally renowned for the quality of its coffees. With altitudes ranging from 1,100 to 1,300 meters, an exceptional climate, and mountainous landscapes, the setting is ideal for specialty coffee production.

The tradition dates back to the 19th century, when their family emigrated from Italy, and they are now in the fourth generation. They grow Yellow Bourbon, Red Bourbon, Yellow Catucaí, Yellow Catuaí, and Acaiá, holding Certifica Minas certification and BSCA membership.

They have won the Cup of Excellence (COE) award 29 times, as well as other competitions. They produce approximately 1,500 bags on 46 hectares, with hand harvesting, washed/pulped-natural or natural processing, and coffees that are fully traceable and stored at Cocarive.

In 2019, they acquired 30 hectares that had belonged to their father, Paulo Coli, and in his honor they named the property Sítio Paulo Coli, expanding the total area of ​​Sítio da Torre to 95 hectares.

As fourth-generation coffee growers, since 2002 they have focused on specialty coffees, maintaining their commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable coffee farming.
